Since 2013, I have been helping families gain clarity, understand their rights, and access the support their children need. Expert Advocacy Services
I provide comprehensive advocacy services for people with special needs and their families, with a strong focus on navigating the IEP process. I support parents in preparing for meetings, understanding evaluations and proper documentation. Ensuring their child’s needs, strengths, and goals are clearly represented. Additionally, I connect families with essential resources such as Social Security, community center boards, legal support, and independent educational evaluation specialists, empowering them to make informed decisions and confidently advocate for their loved ones every step of the way.
Professional Interpreting Services
Clear communication is essential. As a professional Spanish interpreter, I provide accurate, culturally responsive interpretation in both educational and medical settings, including IEP meetings, evaluations, and medical appointments. My goal is to ensure that families fully understand the information being shared, empowering them to actively participate, make informed decisions, and advocate confidently for their children and their needs.
Educational Empowerment
Understanding how to navigate your child’s education can make a lasting difference. I work with parents to break down what happens behind the scenes—how decisions are made, what to expect during the IEP process, and how to approach conversations with school teams. I also help families identify opportunities and resources that can support their child both inside and outside of school. The goal is for you to walk away feeling more confident, informed, and able to move forward with clarity.
Millie Segura — Child and Family Advocate
I am a Spanish Interpreter and Child and Family Advocate dedicated to supporting families of children with special needs. Since 2013, I have worked alongside parents to help them navigate the IEP process, understand their rights, and access the services their children need. My approach is both professional and personal, allowing me to connect with families while also collaborating with schools, service providers, and community organizations to achieve meaningful outcomes. My experience includes working as an advocate with The Arc of Adams County and serving families through the Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition, as well as families referred by Rocky Mountain Human Services. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect families with the right services, resources, and support systems. I provide services in both Spanish and English to ensure clear communication and full participation every step of the way..
